We have built online stores for sellers in more than seventy Indian cities. The same eight requests come up again and again. Our store does not do them, and we would rather say so on day one than on the day you ask. For each one, here is what the store does instead.

1. It does not send a "back in stock" alert

When a product runs out, the page shows it as unavailable. There is no button that collects a buyer's number and messages them when you add stock. What works: one line on the sold-out product asking buyers to message you on WhatsApp, a list you keep, and one message when the lot is packed. A banana seller in Jalgaon runs his whole business this way.

2. It does not sell gift cards or vouchers

A buyer cannot pay for store credit that somebody else redeems later. What works: the gift buyer pays for a specific product, gives the recipient's address, and uses the message field at checkout for the note. For a recipient who should choose, you create a coupon code for them by hand.

3. It has no wallet or store credit

A refund goes back to the way the buyer paid. There is no balance held against an account and no loyalty points. What works: coupon codes, saved order history for one-tap reorders, and the referral programme on Pro and Elite, which rewards the customer who brings the next one.

4. It is not an app

The store is a website that runs in the browser. It cannot be installed on a home screen as an app and it does not work without a connection. What works: a mobile-responsive layout built to load light, and a cart that survives a page reload. Ask buyers to bookmark it and stay logged in.

5. It shows one language

There is no language switcher. The store is in the language you write it in. What works: write product titles the way your buyers search — often the product's local name and its English description together — so both kinds of buyer find it.

6. It does not run subscriptions

Nothing repeats on its own. There is no monthly box that bills and ships by itself. What works: order history that makes last month's order one tap from being this month's, and a WhatsApp reminder you send by hand to regulars.

7. It does not schedule campaigns

You can create a coupon or an offer in a minute, but nothing publishes it on the first of the month while you sleep, and nothing sends a marketing message to your list on a date you set. What works: set the coupon's validity dates in advance, and send the announcement yourself when the day comes. Two things do go out on their own: the order confirmation and the abandoned-cart reminder on WhatsApp.

8. It does not ship abroad or show foreign currency

Prices show in rupees only. International shipping depends on your own courier arrangement; we integrate the domestic side through Shiprocket. What works: say on the page that overseas buyers can pay through a relative in India, and handle the rare export order on WhatsApp.

What it does do

Products, stock, orders, coupons, GST invoices, UPI and Razorpay, cash on delivery and partial COD, Shiprocket courier automation, WhatsApp order alerts, abandoned-cart recovery, product reviews, Google Analytics, and a mobile-friendly storefront with clean URLs and editable meta titles. Starter is a one-time ₹4,990 with no monthly fee and no commission, and the code and database are yours.

If one of the eight limits above is essential to your business, tell us before you pay. We would rather lose the order than build you the wrong store. Details are on the ecommerce website page, and city-by-city examples are under ecommerce website development in India.

FAQs

Can the store notify buyers when a product is back in stock?

No. A sold-out product shows as unavailable and nothing is sent when stock returns. Ask buyers to message you on WhatsApp, keep the list, and send one message when the lot is ready.

Is there a mobile app?

No. The store is a mobile-responsive website in the browser. It cannot be installed as an app and does not work offline.

Can I schedule a sale to start on a date?

No. Coupons carry validity dates you set in advance, but nothing publishes an offer or sends a marketing message on its own on a future date.
