The two messages every parent reads
Ask any school office which messages get a reply. The answer is always the same: fees and holidays.
A fee reminder sent on the right day, with the amount and the last date, brings in more payments than three printed notices. A "school closed tomorrow due to rain" message at 7 pm saves a hundred phone calls at 7 am.
On the API these are utility templates — approved quickly because they are information, not marketing. The office sends them to the right class list in seconds.

One official number instead of teachers' phones
Most schools run on class WhatsApp groups created from teachers' personal numbers. Parents message teachers at night. Numbers leak. When a teacher leaves, the group history leaves too.
The API gives the school one verified number. Notices go out from it. Parent replies land in a shared inbox the office can see, and the right person answers. Teachers get their evenings back.
Groups can stay for class chat if the school wants. The official notices come from the school's own name.
Absence alerts and results — carefully
If the school's attendance software can call an API, an absence alert can go to the parent by 10 am: "Your child was marked absent today." On Pro, API access makes this automatic.
For results, send a notice that results are out and where to see them. Do not put marks or personal details in a WhatsApp template. A notice with a login link is safer and just as useful.

Coaching institutes: admissions are a follow-up game
A student enquires in April and joins in June — if someone follows up. Import every enquiry who agreed to receive updates. Put them in lists by course. Send the demo class date, the batch start date, the scholarship test.
The Growth plan's auto-reply bot answers fees, timings and branch address at midnight, when students actually ask. "Talk to counsellor" hands the chat to a person with the course already noted.
How parents opt in — and what a good notice looks like
Add one line to the admission form: "I agree to receive school notices on WhatsApp at this number." Collect it again at the first parent-teacher meeting with a QR code on the notice board. That is your opt-in, and you have it in writing.
Keep notices short and complete. A good fee reminder reads like this:
"Dear parent of Aarav (Class 6B), the second-term fee of [amount] is due on 10 October. Pay online at the link below or at the school office. — Green Valley School"
Everything a parent needs is in one message: whose child, which fee, how much, by when, how to pay, and who sent it. Parents forward messages like this to the other parent without calling the office.
Put class lists in the contact import — one column for class and section. Then a notice for Class 6 goes only to Class 6.
What the platform does not do for schools
It does not collect fees inside WhatsApp — the message links to your payment page or school portal. It does not take attendance or store marks; your school software does that. Parents without WhatsApp still need your usual SMS or call; this platform is WhatsApp only. It does not schedule notices for a future time; the office sends them when due, or the school's software sends them through the API.
The bot follows rules, not AI. And every message follows Meta's rules: notices to parents who opted in, templates approved in advance.
Which plan a school needs
A small school sending fee and holiday notices is fine on Starter at ₹790 a month. Coaching institutes that need class lists and the night-time bot choose Growth at ₹990. Schools connecting attendance or fee software choose Pro at ₹1,290 for API access. No setup fee; details on the plans page.
