Take the cake order properly, once
Most cake mistakes come from a detail lost in a long chat. Fix it with one structured reply your team sends every time:
- Design (reference photo)
- Weight and flavour
- Egg or eggless
- Message on the cake, spelled exactly
- Pickup or delivery, date and time
- Advance paid
The customer confirms by replying "Yes". Now the order is written down, from the bakery's number, and anyone in the kitchen can read it.

Pickup and delivery messages
On the day, send "Your cake is ready for pickup" or "Out for delivery, reaching by 6 pm". It saves calls, and it gives the customer a moment to check the name written on the cake photo you attach.
For delivery, confirm the address and a phone number that will be answered. A cake that waits outside a locked gate is a lost order and a bad review.
The birthday that comes back every year
A birthday cake order tells you something valuable: the same person will want a cake on the same date next year.
Note the occasion and the date when you take the order. Eleven months later, send one short message: "Riya's birthday is coming up — shall we make her cake again?" Few bakeries do this, and almost every customer remembers the one that did.
The same works for anniversaries, festivals and office celebrations.

Daily fresh items and festive orders
For everyday items — bread, puffs, cookies — a short morning message to regulars who opted in ("Fresh walnut brownies today") brings people in. Keep it occasional; daily messages get muted.
For Christmas, Diwali and New Year, open orders early with one message to past customers, and limit orders to what the kitchen can make. A festive list closed on time is better than a hundred late cakes.
Office orders and bulk celebrations
Offices order cakes for birthdays, team events and festivals, often at short notice. These orders are larger and they repeat.
Keep a list of office clients with the name of the person who orders, the usual size and the billing details they need. When they message, your team already knows the answer to half the questions.
Send one message before festive weeks: "Planning a team celebration? Order by Thursday for Friday delivery." A clear cut-off date protects your kitchen and wins the order before a competitor's reminder arrives.
For bulk orders, confirm everything in writing in the chat — quantity, flavours, delivery time, contact at the office gate, and the invoice name. A GST invoice from your billing software makes the office accounts team happy, and a happy accounts team keeps approving your bakery.
After delivery, a short thank-you with one photo of the cake at their event (if they share it) is also the best testimonial you can post.
What the platform does not do
It does not keep an order calendar or kitchen schedule — that stays in your diary or software. There is no catalogue or cart inside WhatsApp and no payment in the chat; take the advance with a UPI link. It does not schedule messages for a future date; birthday reminders are sent by your team or by your software through the API on Pro.
The bot can answer timings, delivery areas, eggless options and minimum weights — not design questions.
Which plan a bakery needs
A home baker or single bakery fits Starter at ₹790 a month. Growth at ₹990 adds customer lists and the bot for after-hours questions. A bakery chain whose order software should send confirmations and reminders takes Pro at ₹1,290. No setup fee; see the plans page.
Send us your order details list and your pickup/delivery wording, and we will set up the first templates. For a website with online cake ordering, see ecommerce website for sweet shops and bakeries.
