The stone is the specification
A generic jewellery store lists weight and price. That is not enough here, because your buyer is comparing stones, not just pieces.
Custom attributes carry what actually decides the sale — stone type, cut, carat, colour grade, treatment status, setting metal and purity, and certification reference where you have one. Each as its own field, not buried in a paragraph.
Two pieces in the same range then line up field against field, which is exactly the comparison a serious buyer was about to do in another tab anyway.
Craft has to be shown at close range
Meenakari work and kundan setting sell on detail that no description carries. A single thumbnail loses the order.
Every product supports a multi-image gallery and video — the piece under different light, the reverse side where the enamel work sits, and something for scale. For pieces where the craft is the value, this is not decoration, it is the product page's main job.
The customer reviews system adds what you cannot say about yourself. For a first-time buyer sending a large amount to a city they have never visited, another buyer's word carries more weight than any copy.
Hallmark and HSN on the invoice
Jewellery invoicing is not generic retail invoicing, and your buyer's accountant will check it.
GST billing produces a proper invoice on every order — automatic CGST and SGST within Rajasthan, IGST outside it, correct HSN codes and per-product tax rates, with an unbroken financial-year series. Hallmark and purity details carry through from your product attributes.
A buyer who knows a clean invoice is coming is a buyer who has one less reason to hesitate.
Partial COD matters more at Jaipur ticket sizes
Full Cash on Delivery on a forty-thousand-rupee piece is how a jeweller pays freight twice and earns nothing.
Partial COD takes a small advance online and leaves the balance for delivery. The advance is the filter — a serious buyer does not blink at it, and an impulse order quietly drops away before it costs you anything.
Alongside it, COD can be switched off entirely above an order value you set, so your highest-value pieces never ship on cash. RTO prevention flags risky orders before dispatch.
The export buyer — what works and what does not
Jaipur exporters ask this first, so here it is plainly.
The store does not support multi-currency. Prices show in rupees, and an overseas buyer pays that amount with their card handling conversion. Plenty of Jaipur brands sell this way, but it is not the same as showing dollars on the page.
International shipping runs through your own courier or freight arrangement. Shiprocket integration covers the domestic side; which countries are serviceable, at what rate and with what paperwork stays between you and your provider.
If multi-currency is essential to how you sell, say so before ordering — this may not be the right fit, and finding that out now is cheaper for both of us.
Your buyer is often a retailer, not a wearer
A large share of Johari Bazaar's trade goes to jewellers in other cities who resell what they buy. That buyer behaves nothing like a consumer.
He returns every few months, buys across categories, and remembers exactly what he paid last time. Customer management keeps order history against him, so when he calls asking what a particular set cost in March, you have an answer rather than a search.
He also forwards your product images to his own customers, which is a quiet argument for photographing properly — your pictures end up doing his selling.
What is not built, so you know: there is no buyer login with negotiated rates and no wholesale price tier. Everyone sees the same listed price, and your trade rates stay in the conversation where they are today.
