CGST + SGST or IGST, decided automatically
The rule itself is simple. The mistakes come from applying it by hand on every order.
- Delivery inside your own state → the tax splits into CGST and SGST.
- Delivery to another state → a single IGST line instead.
The platform reads the delivery address on each order and applies the correct treatment. Your Indore-registered business selling to a customer in Bhopal issues CGST + SGST; the same product going to Chennai issues IGST. Nobody has to remember, and nobody has to check.
This matters more than it sounds. A store doing thirty orders a day across states is making that decision thirty times daily. Manual handling of that is not a workflow, it is a pending problem.
Different products, different rates
GST rates are not uniform across what you sell. Apparel below and above a price threshold can differ. Packaged food, cosmetics and electronics sit in different slabs entirely.
On Pro and Elite you set the GST rate per product. A store selling both a 5% item and an 18% item issues correct invoices for a cart containing both, with each line taxed at its own rate and the totals adding up properly.
We are not tax advisors and we will not tell you which slab your product belongs in — that is a conversation for your CA. What the platform guarantees is that once you have set the rate, it is applied consistently and correctly on every invoice from then on.
Invoices that look like invoices
The generated invoice is a proper Amazon-style PDF — seller GSTIN, buyer details, HSN-ready line items, tax breakdown by rate, and totals in the format Indian accountants expect.
Customers can download their own invoice from the order tracking page, which removes a surprisingly common support request. Business buyers need it for input tax credit and will ask for it immediately if it is not there.
On Pro and Elite you also get an FY-wise invoice series with an editable start number. If you are moving to this platform mid-year and your last invoice was number 1,247, you set the series to continue from 1,248 rather than restarting at 1 and creating a gap your CA has to explain.
Filing time, without the spreadsheet week
The month-end reality for most small sellers is a scramble: export orders, match them against payments, rebuild a tax summary by hand, send it to the CA, answer follow-up questions.
On the Elite plan two features remove most of that. Bulk invoice download pulls every invoice for a period as a single ZIP archive. Excel GST register export produces the summary in a format your CA can work from directly, rather than one you assembled from order exports at 11pm.
This does not do your filing and it does not replace your accountant. It removes the data-assembly step that sits between your store and your accountant.
Which plan has what
| Capability | Starter | Pro | Elite |
|---|---|---|---|
| CA-ready GST invoice PDF | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |
| Automatic CGST/SGST vs IGST | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |
| Customer invoice download | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |
| FY-wise series, editable start number | — | ✔ | ✔ |
| Per-product GST rate control | — | ✔ | ✔ |
| Bulk invoice download (ZIP) | — | — | ✔ |
| Excel GST register export | — | — | ✔ |
If you sell a single product category at one rate, Starter's invoicing is genuinely sufficient. Per-product rates become necessary the moment your catalogue crosses slabs.
