The official way to send bulk messages
The official WhatsApp Business API is Meta's own channel for businesses. Your number is registered as a WhatsApp Business Account. Your business name is verified. Messages go through Meta's Cloud API, not through a phone pretending to be a person.
Three things make a bulk message legal on the API:
- It uses a template that Meta approved in advance.
- It goes to a contact who opted in to hear from you.
- It comes from a number with a healthy quality rating.
On our platform a bulk send is a campaign. Pick the template. Pick the list. Send. Watch the sent, delivered and read counts come in.

Why unofficial bulk tools get numbers banned
Those tools automate a normal WhatsApp account. A script presses "send" again and again from a phone or an emulator. WhatsApp is built to catch exactly this. The result is a ban, usually permanent, usually at the worst time.
You do not lose the tool. You lose the number. The one on your visiting card. The one every customer saved. The one with years of chats.
The API cannot be banned for being the API. What it can lose is quality rating. If people block or report your messages, Meta lowers your rating and limits how many new people you can reach. So the rest of this page is about sending well, not sending more.
The template — what Meta approves
A template is a ready message with blanks — name, order number, offer. Meta reviews it before you can send it to anyone.
There are three kinds. Marketing (offers, announcements). Utility (order updates, reminders). Authentication (one-time codes).
Approval usually takes a few minutes to a day. Templates get rejected for simple reasons: vague text, blanks that make no sense, marketing dressed up as a utility message. A template that says clearly what it is, with an opt-out line, gets approved.
On the platform you write the template, upload a header image or video, submit it, and see its status. Once approved, you reuse it for every campaign.
Opt-in — who you are allowed to message
This is the biggest difference from a bulk tool. On the API, marketing goes only to people who agreed to receive it. A tick on a form. A reply to a message. A number entered on your website. A customer who messaged you first.
This sounds like a limit. It is actually why the channel works. People who asked to hear from you open, reply and buy. Strangers block and report.

Import contacts from a CSV or Excel file. On Growth and Pro, put them in named lists — regulars, enquiries, dealers — so each campaign goes to the right people. Keep a record of how each contact opted in.
Running a campaign — four steps
- Import the contacts with the fields your template needs, like first name.
- Choose the list.
- Pick the approved template. Add the image if it has one.
- Send.
Then read the report. Sent, delivered and read counts tell you which message worked and which list is old. Replies land in the team inbox, where whoever is on duty answers from the same number.
Two Pro controls keep a busy sender safe. Marketing cooldown stops a contact from getting another campaign for a set number of days. Skip-open-window avoids paying to message someone you can reply to free right now.
The 24-hour window
When a customer messages you, or replies to your campaign, a 24-hour window opens. Inside it you can send them anything, without a template. Outside it, only an approved template can go out. This is a Meta rule.
The platform shows an open-chats page. It lists every number inside its window, with a countdown. Your team replies while it still can. When the window has closed, you can send one approved template to one contact from the inbox.
The rhythm becomes simple. Campaign goes out. Replies open windows. The team closes conversations inside those windows. The next campaign goes to the list that responded.
What the platform does not do, and what it costs
It does not send unlimited messages. Meta's tiers and quality rating apply to every business. Any tool that promises otherwise will get you banned. It does not collect numbers from anywhere or message people who did not opt in. It does not include an AI chatbot; the bot follows rules you set.
